When I was 15 I participated in a 106 mile bike ride to raise money for charity; which is still to this day the longest distance I’ve ever ridden in a single day.  I’m lucky I caught the bug so early, as it cemented the happiness I felt from the pure freedom of traveling long distance on a bicycle.

After completing the ride, I envisioned myself traveling the globe on some human-powered machinery, triumphantly being added to the list of the world’s great explorers.  I’ve had many great travel experiences over the years, and I’ve racked up 31 countries on my tally so far.  But I never have done a tour on a bicycle- until now.

I’ve built a tallbike, started learning Spanish, and just booked a flight to Bogota-
